How should we go about accumulating Qi energy in our body?

The method of Qi accumulation is consisted of “Aul-Soom” (breathing technique), “Soo-In” (hand technique), “Suhn-Eum” (vocal technique) and “Hang-Gong” (body technique).  Ki Sports/Poong Ryu Do/Yin Yang SSang Do Tae has Qi techniques formulated in a unique way that can bring a uniform result out of everyone who trains.

So far, Dahn Jeon has been explained.  Then, from now on, a method of creating Dahn Jeon on Dae Maek will be explained and decribed in detail.  As aforementioned, the Dahn Jeon is like a second heart.  In order to train the real heart, you need to do cardiovascular workout on regular basis such as jogging, aerobics, hiking, etc.  Likewise, you need to Qi accumulating exercise steadily to build Dahn Jeon, your second heart.  And those exercises are “Aul-Soom, Soo-Yin, Suhn-Eum and Hang-Gong”, which will be discussed below.

1.  Chook Gi (Qi Accumulation):  a.  Aul-Soom

The very first step to accumulate Qi in your body is “Ho-Whoop”, meaning respiration in Korean.  “Ho-Whoop” is a word with two syllables that each syllable bears a philosophical meaning.  “Ho” reflects a sound of very first breath that a new-borne baby lets out as soon as he comes out of the monther’s womb.  On the contrary, “Whoop” reflects a sound of the last breath that a man takes in when his life comes to an end.  Therefore, “Ho-Whoop” (respiration) is iteration of “life and death”.  Nontheless, a lot of people do not realize the importance of breathing in maintaining their health.

Just naturally breathing through your nose does not accumulate Qi.  There is a secret technique that allows your body to collect Qi, which is called “Aul-Soom”.  The air must be taken in through your nose and released through your mouth.  By inhaling through your nose, you are enabled to breathe air in deeply into your body, until your chest and lower abdominal gets tightly expanded.  By exhaling through your mouth, you are enabled to breathe air out shallowly and slowly.  And here is the secret to executing true ‘Aul-Soom’.  The expanded lower abdominal from the inhalation must be maintained throughout the exhalation, which means you must try to keep the lower abdominal expanded while you let out all the air in the chest.  By this way, you are able to store ‘Jin-Gi’ (genuine Qi energy) in the lower balley while discharging ‘Huh-Gi’ (false Qi energy).  ‘Aul-Soom’ is the very first and most important secret technique of Qi Sports “Chook-Gi”.

2.  Chook-Gi:  Soo-Yin

You should be able to store a small amount of Qi energy by doing ‘Aul-Soom’ mentioned above.  However, it is not enough.  You would feel that your lower balley is bloated.  There are few more things you need to add to Aul-Soom in order to expedite the process.

The first is ‘Soo-Yin’.  It is a form of hands you need to shape with two hands.  The ancient herbal medicine discovered that your hands contain a lot of small pressure points that are linked to your internal organs, so that, internal oranges can be indirectly influened or treated by applying acupuncture on your hands.  In that sense, you can influence your body by forming your hands and fingers in different shapes.   Then, what hand shape do you need to take for attrack Jin-Gi from universe efficiently?  A lightening rod is most needed for attracting lightening; therefore you need a Jin-Gi Rod, which is ‘Soo-Yin’ and its shape is shown below.

Put your hands together with palms facing each other, and bend your thumbs and index fingers as shown in the picture.  By doing so, energyn field gets created and it attracks Jin-Gi from in the space surrounding you.

3  Chook Gi:      Suhn-Eum

‘Whipping [lashing] one's galloping horse’.  There is a third technique that helps Qi training for the better in addition to Aul-Soom and Soo-Yin; that is called ‘Suhn-Eum’.

You can generate a sound by vibrating your vocal cord.  And the sound wave is considered as a type of energy that vibrtes the air in the space.  No matter how many times you create a sound with our vocal cord, it is just a sound wave.  But if you can vibrate Qi energy inside you to create sound, the stored Qi energy will become dense and powerful, just like forging an iron to make a sword.  This is called “Suhn-Eum”, a secret technique that other conventional Qi training organizations do not have.  The more you use Qi to execute ‘Suhn-Eum’, the stronger your Qi energy becomes.  And this concentration of Qi energy gets stored in your ‘Dae-Maek’.  As the Dae-Maek gets filled with greater amount of Qi concentrations, an incredible phenomenon will occur; your Dae-Maek will bulge out and become visible like a thick belt wraping around your waistline (please see pictures).

4.  Chook Gi:     Hang-Gong

So far, three Qi training techniques were mentioned.  Soo-Yin functions as a lightening rod to attrack Qi, and Aul-Soom will accumulate and store Qi in the body, and Suhn-Eum will densely concentrate the stored Qi.  However, practicing all these efficient techniques is meaningless unless they must be executed in a proper order to maximize the effect of Qi training.  The process of proper execution of the techniques is called “Hang-Gong’.  It is just like the assembly line of automobile factory.  During Hang-Gong, you will be able to attract, accumulate, purify and store ‘Jin-Gi’ in your body and finally complete ‘Yin Yang Ssang Do Tae’ in your body, which is the true Dahn-Jon on your waist.  The Hang-Gong is the perfect combination of all three Qi techniques to bring out the best result in Qi training.

In a 105 days of Qi Sports training, Chook-Gi willl be completed and Yin Yang Ssang Do Tae will appear on your body.  You will rebourn as a man with full of positive Qi energy and absolute healthiness.
